What is the Story with that Name?
Webster’s Dictionary defines “threat” as…. You didn’t think we were really going to go that route, did you? But seriously, naming ourselves, and our intended solutions just came naturally to us. We considered our research and development as “next generation” targeting a “new generation” of digital threats. Knowing that it would be a name we would be saying over and over again, this name had to be different and “cool”. More importantly, we wanted a name that defined our area of concentration, purpose, and identity. In essence, we wanted a name that was “A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar”! (Thank you Dashboard Confessional):
“A Mark” onto something that we can hit.
“A Mission” that would make a difference.
“A Brand” that reaffirms our mark and mission.
“A Scar” or “scars” resulting from our quest, and would proudly display for everyone to see.
We are ThreatNG!
