Memory Corruption

M

Memory corruption, also known as a violation of memory safety, happens when the contents of a memory location are changed as a result of programmed action that deviates from the original programmer's purpose or program/language constructs. Programming faults are the most likely cause of memory corruption (software bugs). Program crashes or unusual and odd behavior result from using the corrupted memory contents later in the program.
